Reconciliation (Confessions)
The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confessions) is celebrated on
Saturday -
10.00-11.15 a.m.
Other times are by request or appointment.
The new Reconciliation Room
The newly refurbished Reconciliation Room (Confessional) makes provision for celebrating the Sacrament by kneeling behind the traditional screen in place, or by sitting with the Priest in a conversational setting.
The choice rests with the person coming to the Sacrament. (click image alongside to get a different view)
Advent and Lent
During Advent and Lent there is a Parish Celebration of Reconciliation to give fuller recognition to the communal nature of the Sacrament. The Liturgy reflects the mood of the Season, and there are usually other priests available to help with individual confession.
There is an Advent Service of Reconciliation on Monday, 22nd December 2008, 7.30 p.m. Other confessors will be present on that occasion.
Spiritual direction
Spiritual direction or accompaniment is an important aspect of the Sacrament for some people. You may find it more helpful to request a specific time should you desire for spiritual direction as part of the celebration for you.
